El Dorado Hills has always been a beautiful part of El Dorado County. The views of the surrounding area are breath taking. Wonderful restaurants, shops and a movie theater, all built with a flavor of old world charm, can be found in EDH and plenty of parks, and open spaces are throughout the area.
The community has many recreational activities available for everyone, such as golfing, playgrounds, sports fields, biking trails, hiking, swimming at the local pool and water sports on Folsom Lake. Folsom Lake is one of the most popular recreational areas in the state, with seventy miles of shore line to play on. Referred to as the gateway to El Dorado County, El Dorado Hills has varying elevations, ranging from 200 feet to over 10,800 feet, with the majestic Sierra's offering skiing and snowboarding areas close by.
We are proud of our top award winning schools, the outstanding high participation of families involved in local sports and the warm friendly feeling that welcomes both old and young to come live in El Dorado Hills!
